The Adam Press is a small-scale publisher, based in Howden, East Yorkshire. It was founded by Mike Smith in 2005 to publish his poetry, stories and teacher guides for use by primary school teachers, children and parents. In 2010, Mike's publications for schools began to be promoted nationally.
When writer/performer/editor/publisher (i.e. Mike!) are the same person then costs to schools are cut to a minimum, whilst - we believe - quality is maintained!

This handy little teacher guide to story-writing in the primary classroom represents the classroom practice of Ben Brunwin and Mike Smith over many years. It is a practical classroom book and not an academic book! It has 50 pages, most of which show scans of children's outcomes. £5

The Adam Press also publishes a wide range of community and other publications. A regular Adam Press publication is HOWDEN MATTERS, a 40-page monthly magazine for Howden, a small market town in East Yorkshire. HOWDEN MATTERS is read by over a 1,000 people.
The Adam Press logo comprises Mike Smith's one-time family home - Pinfold Cottage - in an East Yorkshire village, and his late dad's name.
