Howden is a small market town in East Yorkshire. HOWDEN MATTERS is read by close to 1,000 people.
The Adam Press is a small-scale Howden-based publisher, founded and run by Mike Smith, initially established to publish both his poetry and his stories for use by primary school teachers.
The Adam Press logo comprises Mike Smith's one-time family cottage - Pinfold Cottage - in a village near Driffield, East Yorkshire, and his late dad's name.

Ken Powls's memoir, 'Many Lives', was formally launched on Friday, 28th May, at The Shire Hall, Howden, East Yorkshire. Ken was there to sign copies of his new book, published by The Adam Press, price £7.
